Château La Hourcade

In 1940, Mr Cecchini fell in love with the Médoc and a pretty Pauillac. Together they founded a family as well as Château La Hourcade. In the shade of the grands crus, two of their sons took over to produce a wine typical of this secular land. Since 1968, this know-how has therefore been transmitted from the peasant lands of this former Diguayre.

Anecdotes from the estate

"The friendships formed between the rows of vines leave memories of childhood, of laughter and of sharing. A wine will never be, in our opinion, the product of a man, a name or a brand but the fruit of the work of those who get up every morning to prune, hack or prune the vines. For all this, this wine is also theirs ”.

"In the town, the Diguayres stele wants to honor the generations who, for 130 years worked and fixed the coastline to defend their land from the assaults of the ocean. My grandfather was one of those immigrant workers. Many years later his son became mayor of the town while I returned from Bordeaux to learn how to give wine these reflections of tradition ”.
